Catch 22 takes to the screen
If you think you spotted Neil on the telly recently, you weren’t imagining it. Catch 22 had the absolute pleasure of featuring on Chris Roberts’ BBC series, Flaming Feasts - a celebration of Welsh food, fire, and the people who make Wales such a special place to eat.
For us, the real joy was discovering just how much we and Chris share a passion for proper local produce. Anglesey is packed with incredible growers, farmers and fishermen, so featuring alongside some of the island’s finest producers was nothing short of an honour. When you work with ingredients this good, you can’t help but want to shout about them, and we were so pleased to have the chance to do so.
We cooked up two dishes for Chris - both rooted in the flavours of the island and absolute staples on our menu: Lobster Risotto and Damara Môn lamb chops. We recently shared the lobster risotto recipe with our newsletter subscribers. Sign up to receive exclusive insights and offers straight to your inbox…
Now, every chef secretly dreams of featuring on Saturday Kitchen. So having our episode broadcast to millions of viewers across the UK straight after the programme was pretty cool. Missed it? All episodes of Flaming Feasts are available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
We’re incredibly grateful to Chris and the Flaming Feasts team for shining a light on who and what make this island so special – including Damara Môn, Halen Môn, Felin Honeybees, Llysiau Menai and Joe Lobsters. Here’s to more great food, more local producers, and more reasons to be proud of Anglesey.
