About Catch 22 Anglesey

A family-owned restaurant on the west coast of Anglesey, North Wales

We opened Catch 22 in 2017 with a simple idea: cook the food we'd want to eat ourselves, using the best of what's on our doorstep. The team is led by our chef-owner Neil, with his wife Mel and her sister Ellie creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the dining room.

Anglesey is our home. We're a short hop from the harbours where our fish lands and surrounded by the farms rearing our beef and lamb, so it would be daft to bring anything in from anywhere else. Our menu celebrates the best local ingredients and Welsh producers we can find, a variety of expertly cooked seasonal meat and seafood dishes. No gimmicks, no fuss, just good honest food.

Our menus change regularly to highlight the freshest seafood from around Anglesey and the finest meat from trusted North Wales farms, and our specials board changes daily depending on what comes in. Everything is cooked fresh, in-house and to order. Upstairs, The Nook Bar is a relaxed spot for coffee, cocktails or a drink before dinner.

We're open all year, too. Plenty of places on Anglesey close early or shut up shop out of season, you'll find us open Wednesday to Sunday whatever the month, from brunch through to dinner.

That commitment to local sourcing and seasonality earned us a place in the Good Food Guide's Top 100 Local Restaurants in 2024, and we're also listed in the Good Food Guide for 2026. On TripAdvisor we're rated No.1 on Anglesey with an average score of 4.8 from over 1,800 reviews, though the recognition we value most is the people who keep coming back.

Diolch, we hope to see you soon.
